About the Brebeuf Youth Ministry
Mission: A Man For Others
The Brebeuf Youth Ministry provides all staff and students with opportunities to grow in their Catholic faith through experiences of prayer, the sacraments, social action and Catholic leadership.
The Youth Ministry helps with daily school prayer, plan all aspects of school liturgies; contribute to the Eucharistic Adoration; and facilitate many other school projects, including weekly rosary.
Humble Beginnings of the Brebeuf Youth Ministry
2008 - Chris Krall S.J., a Jesuit scholastic, visits Brebeuf College every week to contribute to the Jesuit and Catholic character of the school
During his visits, he had talks in religion classes, presents material on Ignatian spirituality, and vocations. He also started a faith group called: "BULC" (Brebeufians Unifying Life and Catholicism).
The BULC was a huge success, once having more than 100 students in the ministry and a year later, changed its name to the Brebeuf Youth Ministry.
Currently, the Brebeuf Youth Ministry contributes to the faith life at Brebeuf, and holds one of the largest/most committed groups at school, transforming the school into a true authentic Catholic school in all of the schools in the TCDSB and even all the Catholic schools in Ontario.
This ministry has been recognized by multiple religious organizations including the Archdiocese of Toronto
